FOREST PARK GOLUBINJAK - as a picnic resort, first time mentioned the 19th century. There is visible, carved into the rock, a memorial plaque on the occasion of crowning King Tomislav in 925th.
As a Forest Park was proclaimed in 1954. From that time it has served exclusively as a park for excursion and recreational purposes.
In the Park Forest Golubinjak there are several small caves from which stands out Cave Golubinja, Ice Cave, the Hell gate. All of these caves are conected with maintained forest paths and trails.
The Queen of Forest - in the park there is also the largest fir tree in Gorski Kotar.
It is over 200 years old, scope of the trunk 441cm, trunk diameter 140cm, height 37m. With it's own 28.48 m3 this tree is truly deserved to be called "The Queen of Forest".
On the forest park reception it is possible to rent: grills placed at various locations in forest, bicycles, bowling field, soccer and volleyball field.
